Devoted: The Main Thing - August 12, 2018
Monday Aug 20, 2018
Monday Aug 20, 2018
Our main devotion must be telling other people about Jesus.
Sometimes the church can get so caught up in programs.
Sometimes we can get so involved in event planning.
Sometimes as church members, and pastors, we can be so consumed in our time in projects that are so far removed from bringing people to Jesus.
Our job is to keep the main thing the main thing.
In our modern society, it is sometimes not politically correct to be talking about Jesus. If Peter would’ve been thinking about political correctness… The Christian church would never have been formed.
In our modern society, sometimes it’s uncomfortable to talk about Jesus. There are times when we let the situation get the best of us, and we move forward in our conversations with strangers without them having any idea that we are followers of the Messiah.
See, doing nothing takes no devotion.
Keeping quiet comes naturally.
Our devotion to Jesus requires us to tell other people about his mercy, and his grace, and his forgiveness, and his love.

Devoted: Doing Life Together - August, 19, 2018
Monday Aug 20, 2018
Monday Aug 20, 2018
The entire Christian Life is intended to be done in Fellowship.
Since we are all part of the body of Christ… And since the church is made up of many different parts – what happens when one part isn’t here at church?
We need others and the Church, just as others and the church need us.
Devotion to Fellowship demands a deep love for others within the church.
Devotion to Christian Fellowship keeps us on the right path.
Being here.
Being in church.
Being in the Bible study.
Being in community with each other.
Being in Communication during the week.
Being in Christ with each other.
Being of common goals.
Being of Love and affection for each other . . . is koinonia

Biblical Life Hacks for Relationships
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
Our working definition of the term Life Hack over the next 5 weeks is: The purposeful use of a life instruction that has been so under-practiced in our culture, that the concept seems foreign.
And it’s no secret that the directives of the Bible in our relationships are odd to some people.
So starting today, and all through July, we are going to look at 5 topics, and we’re going to hack the Bible for our direction.
We’re going to see how using a tool that culturally looks so odd in a marriage, actually helps to manage one's marriage in a more efficient way.
We’re going to see how using a tool that culturally looks so odd in a womanhood, actually aids in relationships between wives and husbands.
We’re going to see how using a tool that culturally looks so odd in a manhood, actually aids in relationships with between husbands and wives.
We’re going to see how using a tool that culturally looks so odd in a the workplace, actually grow us as better employees and leaders.

Finding Jesus, Finding Hope
Tuesday Nov 21, 2017
Tuesday Nov 21, 2017
There's a meaning inside this resurrection story that not only reminds us what it took for us to be saved, but it also tells us that when we have no clue where Jesus is, our life is full of fear. When we find Jesus, or life is full of worship, joy, and direction.
This evening I would ask you to open your Bibles to the 28th chapter of the book of Matthew. We're going to be reading from verse number 1 through verse 10 in a message I’ve titled, "Finding Jesus.”
As we read through our text, I want you to pay attention to the emotions of Mary, and Mary Magdalene that Sunday morning.
I want you to feel with the guards felt.
I want you to feel with the disciples.
I want you to ask yourself, have you found Jesus,
or are you still looking for Him?

How to Make Jesus Smile

Wednesday Feb 22, 2017
Sermon It’s not uncommon for a pastor to pray with someone and lead them to Jesus, only to hear them ask “what now?” What is it that I am suppose to do now that I am a child of God?
“How, as a Christian, do I fully please Jesus?”
How do we “Walk Worthy of the Lord?”
What is it that Christians can do that makes Jesus happy?

Hope in Jesus

Wednesday Feb 22, 2017
Being confident and unashamed is important to the Christian walk. It’s important to a new believer. It’s even important if you don’t know Christ as your personal Lord and savior. John is speaking here of having a solid understanding of the salvation and hope that is in Jesus Christ. Knowing that hope exists, and being confident that Jesus will deliver on His promises. Sometimes hope is all we have to keep us going day-to-day. But knowing that Jesus is our Blessed hope is the most powerful hope of all.

Finding Your Jerusalem
Wednesday Feb 22, 2017
Wednesday Feb 22, 2017
This path paved in Acts chapter 1 verse 8 is given to the 11 remaining disciples after Jesus had risen from the dead, He was seen by more than 500 people, showed holes in His hands to Thomas, and before he ascended back into Heaven.
I want you to remember that number. Jesus only told this plan to 11 men.
Acts chapter 1 verse 8 is one of the references to what is called The Great Commission. The second half of verse 8, Jesus tells His apostles:
But you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8b)
